Limited Edition of 1000. Jonquil had always loved to hear the stories retold by Throstle. One such tale was of a great Dragon serpent Magratha whose existence within the depths of the fiery mountains brought a sense of wonderment and excitement to the long and sometimes arduous journeys. The Dragon was once a flying spectacle, soaring above the clouds and valleys, until that is, it had become the target of local tribes who blamed the Dragon for bad crops and ill health amongst the villages. Magratha was hunted, although only local folklore had proved it guilty and took solace within the deep caves of Half Peak. Here its story continues... Years had passed, the Dragon was forgotten, Magratha had turned into a cave serpent, its wings were shrivelled and shrunken folding closely to its body due to the confines of its space, its eyes were of no use, only its senses guided it through the dark, murky depths his home was a deep pool of clear water where Throstle, by chance, came upon him. The Dragon retold its story, wishing only to live in harmony and to dance once more upon the fresh endotherms of the summer sky. As with all of Throstles stories the ending was heart warming. His meeting with the village elders confirmed Magratha's innocence, of years ago being betrayed by a wicked mage. The people took pity upon Magratha and showed great mercy and understanding. "What of the Dragon now?" asked Jonquil. "Well," murmured Throstle, "Lets just say that his wish came true, that the warm currents of the East now fill a huge pair of wings!" A wry, contented smile touched Throstles face as he puffed upon an old clay pipe.
